Istanbul, Türkiye – June 10, 2024 – The global bearing and power transmission industry marked a historic turning point during the Bearing & Power Transmission World Meetings 2024, held from June 10–12 at the Istanbul. With over 400 participants from 45+ countries, including leading OEMs, distributors, end-users, and manufacturers, the event became the birthplace of the first-ever World Power Transmission Association (WorldPTA) general and steering committee meeting.
In a landmark moment for the mechanical power transmission (PT/MC) sector, the closed Annual Meeting hosted during the event saw the formal General Assembly and formation of the WorldPTA Steering Committee, bringing together visionary leaders from across continents to shape the future of the global industry. The founding of the WorldPTA establishes a new collaborative platform that will support manufacturers, distributors, and end-users under one global umbrella, with a shared mission to elevate standards, foster innovation, and scale business growth across borders.
Alongside the historic association formation, the event featured B2B matchmaking, panels, an exhibition, and a highly acclaimed Root Cause Failure Analysis Workshop, attended by over 100 engineers and reliability professionals.
The successful launch of WorldPTA in Istanbul sets the stage for a dynamic new chapter in international collaboration. Industry stakeholders are now invited to join the momentum as the association prepares for its next steps in sustainability, collaboration and global business expansion.
